Your spaces are yours. LeanKai is a quiet coach, not a data business. There is no account and no sign-in, and we never ask for your name, email, or phone number.

What Kai keeps

Only the things you make while using the app: the photos you share with Kai, your conversations and journal, the voice notes you record when you talk to Kai, and your settings like theme and preferences.

Where it lives

Everything is stored on your phone first. It also syncs to a private cloud space so your journal survives a lost or replaced phone. That space is keyed to a random anonymous id generated on your device. There is no account, so we could not look you up by name if we tried, because we never had it.

What leaves your phone

Kai is an AI coach, so the thinking happens on our servers. When you share a photo it is sent up so Kai can describe the space, and when you chat your message text is sent up so Kai can reply. Our servers pass that content to the AI model providers who generate Kai's responses. Those providers process your content only to produce the response. Your photos and conversations are never used to train AI models.

What we never do

No ads, not now and not later. No selling data, because your content is not a product. No third-party analytics, because there are no trackers or analytics kits in the app. No profiles built about you to show anyone else.

Forget everything

In the app's settings there is a button called Forget everything. Tap it and LeanKai wipes your data from the phone and clears your journal from the cloud. Gone means gone. You do not need to email anyone or wait for a request to process.

Permissions

The app asks for the camera so you can show Kai a space, the microphone so you can talk to Kai, and, if you choose, notifications for the optional gentle check-in. Each is used only for that purpose, and you can decline any of them and still use the app.

Children

LeanKai is made for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with an updated date, and material changes will be called out inside the app.
