Your film record lives on your device, and nowhere else. Peliteca has no accounts, no sign in, no analytics, and no server that stores your data. We cannot see what you watch, and we would not want to. We never sell data and we never show ads.
Nothing. Every viewing you log, every disc you shelve, every score, note, favourite, and club night is stored in your device's own local storage. It never leaves your device unless you export it yourself as a backup file, and that file goes wherever you choose to put it.
When you search for a film, the request goes through our small relay server to film catalogs: TMDB for titles, posters, and details, OMDb for cross-referenced ratings, and fanart.tv for disc artwork. The request contains the search text or the film's catalog number, never your identity, your record, or anything about you. Our relay exists so the catalog keys stay off your device, and it keeps only the short-lived standard server logs that any web service produces.
This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.
Cards you share (favourites, your six, a birthday card) are images built on your device and handed to your phone's own share sheet. Live ballot links seal their contents with encryption on your device before anything is sent. The relay that carries a ballot stores only the sealed envelope, cannot read what is inside, and deletes it after 30 days. The key that unseals it travels only inside the link you share, so only the people you send it to can open it.
The barcode scanner uses your camera to read a disc's barcode, on your device, live. No photo or video is recorded, stored, or sent anywhere. Photos you attach to a disc in your collection stay in your device's storage with the rest of your record.
We do not sell data. We do not show ads. We do not run analytics or trackers. We do not use your record to train anything. There is nothing to breach on our side, because your record was never in our hands.
Settings offers a one-tap backup: a readable file containing your whole record, saved wherever you choose. Restoring it is how you move to a new phone. We never receive a copy.
If you leave your email on our website's waitlist, we use it to send one message on launch day, then nothing else. Ask us to delete it any time.
If this policy ever changes, the new version appears here with a new date. Since we hold no data about you, changes can only ever be about the app's small supporting services.
